Tokyo trip : 28th October ~ 16th November

I will be in Tokyo from the 28th of October, till the 16th of November for my bi-annual trip. As usual, I’ll be staying in Ueno and can be found wondering the city with my trusty Nikon camera. If your also in town, feel free to drop me a line! I aim to do at least a few daily trips outside of Tokyo. A walk trough the nature of nearby Kamakura (no, not for the big Budha statue but the hills are lovely in autumn) and I might even go to Osaka for the very first time if I can manage it time-wise. I have a few projects planned for this trip, photography wise. But also video-wise. Namely three concepts of images I have to promote visiting Japan, and also to shoot a cinematic-style video capturing everyday life in Tokyo. Here’s hoping I won’t get distracted by all the great food and activities too much !

GR Photography’s site launched

It’s been a long while coming, but finally I’ve separated my passion from photography from my casual blog, and thus “Gwenny Ruiz Photography” or GRP for short has been born. Yes! I know it’s just based on word press and such, but in reality I’d rather spend my time improving and performing photography than learning how to code for the web. In my opinion if the content is accessible enough, then the content alone should do the talking. What’s the use of having a crappy photographer, with an amazing webpage hmm?

So the main idea of this site is that I’ll discuss my photography related topics in the “blog” section, whilst my portfolio and recent work, should be shown under “Home” I aim to update this site regularly so that it will be an up to date representation of my ability as a photographer. Please enjoy!
